thanks to joanne for the photo By all accounts this show suffered from some dreadful sound and over-zealous venue security, plus a few drunken crowd members - but the musical content was all there.

By euphoria1287 Let me just say that this band has, in the past couple of months since I’ve seen them last, absolutely positively coalesced into this roaring rock machine, except they know how to have fun. From almost the start of the show, when Chris tipped the hat on Yogi’s head, the band was joking around, throwing picks at one another, making jokes, being crazy, and just having fun. It’s extremely easy to tell how proud of these guys Chris really is; he’s constantly giving them props, thumbs ups, patting them on the back, et cetera. And really, I’m sure they were proud of Chris as well, who is sounding better and better each time I see him. His voice is back in all its crisp glory, and the high notes were not raspy, were not screams, but clear, ringing notes, absolutely perfect, and way better than anything you’d hear on an album, any Cornell album. I am nothing but impressed with his voice, but I’m not at all surprised either. Chris is going to become better and better as he continues on with this tour and makes another album, I’m sure of it. This was such a fun show, it really was. There was a lot of band/fan interaction, shaking hands, signing things (like hand-drawn pictures from fans…why didn’t I think of that?), throwing picks (we ended up getting Corey’s pick at the end of Slaves and Bulldozers; I had not been paying attention to Corey though and ended up getting hit in the side of the head, but it was worth it). They are just having such a blast every time they get on the stage, and it resonates to every last person in that crowd. I have never laughed so many times at any other show, nor have I walked away with two days worth of ear ringing. I think this show probably steals the coveted number one concert slot for me, mainly because of the tightness of the band, the wonderful selection and performance of the songs, how close we were to the stage and mainly just how fun it was. Whether you were going to the concert to be entertained or to have your ass rocked off, Chris and the crew delivered in spades. Read the rest of euphoria1287's "mysterywhitegirl" blog here
Chris with an audience member's cellphone.... by denise I saw Chris Cornell on November 9th at the Crodile Rock in Allentown PA - awesome as usual. I've been to 2 of his concerts recently with 2 of my sons, we had a great time. He sounds incredible live. He did amazing covers of Led Zeppelin & the Doors and loads of Soundgarden stuff. by joanne The last show I saw was the Beacon in NYC in August and it was my fourth show in a week's time. I thought that I had had my fill. I was wrong. SweetU4IA and I from CC.com had been talking and decided to attend both shows together although we had never met. We live an hour apart and she and her husband were kind enough to pick me up so I wouldn?t have to attend the shows alone. And so our adventure began. First stop--Allentown, PA. We arrived early and unfortunately were given the incorrect information and waited at the wrong entrance. We were still pretty close, one person back so all was not lost, although I was kind of bummed out. Chris sounded amazing, as usual. Its crazy, but I think his voice is actually getting better and better. He's like Superman!!! The first thing that I noticed was how thin he had gotten -WOW- touring must be taking its toll (although not vocally). He almost looked like the Chris from the Euphoria Morning or late Down on the Upside days. The crowd was an interesting mix of old school metal heads (I actually saw a few mullets), some grunge die-hards (myself included) and young folks witnessing a rock GOD for the first time. The guy is ageless and has boundless energy. The heat was ridiculous and he even thanked us for putting up with it and hanging out for the show. No one seemed to care about the heat or the feeling of being packed in like sardines. People were losing their shit!! Every move he made and every note he sung were met by fists in the air and shrieks of pure rock solidarity.
