thanks to Travis for the photo Another hot evening but fans were treated to Let Me Drown and My Wave, which was a great nostalgia trip for all! According to one fan, Corey even stepped up to the mic for backing vocal duries on Hunger Strike. Never seen that in the UK, but I've heard him sing at a soundcheck and he's certainly well capable!!

by JoAnne After a very long drive from NY to Cincinnati I was treated to another stellar performance by Mr. Cornell. I arrived extremely early and met up with some great people from cc.com as well as some very cool CC fans. We all bonded on line and took up the whole rail at the show. The setlist was a bit different than the last two shows, "Let Me Drown" and "My Wave" were great additions. I hadn't heard either live in over ten years!!! It was about 1000 degrees at Bogarts but no one cared. Chris's vocals were right on and the band rocked. At one point when he sang "Seasons" he sat on the edge of the stage right in front of me. What a great feeling to be so close to someone you admire and dare I say without sounding like some psycho stalker, someone you love. The fans really responded to every song and every move he made. He actually joked and pointed out the sign that was taped on the stage that said "Cincinnati, Ohio"-he laughed and said "I know where I am!" All in all it was a great road trip and totally worth the 1300 miles round trip that we traveled. I would only do that for him. by DesertRose Chris sang his heart out. You can tell this is what he was born to do. His voice sounded wonderful. He really is one of the few artists I know of who sounds fantastic live. All the high notes he nailed were just amazing. He played old and new songs from Euphoria Morning and Carry On as well as Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. It was a real treat to hear Let Me Drown and My Wave which he hadn't played live in 10 years. There were audience members ranging in all ages from a little girl who looked about 8 to a lady in front of me who looked in her 50s. His music attracts both old and new fans, it has something for everyone. The crowd was loving it. He encouraged everyone to scream louder and the place roared. He stood there with a big smile on his face with his arms outstretched, taking it all in as if soaking up the rays of the sun. The energy in the venue was redhot and Chris was on fire. The setlist was great. There isn't one song that I didn't like. JCP was intense. I almost expected the roof to open up and lightning to strike the stage. On Like a Stone Yogi sounded great. Sunshower was beautiful. I love that song. Everyone waved their arms in the air in unison. Slaves and Bulldozers lit up the stage. The guitar and drums were amazing. They did two encores and it still ended too soon. I could have listened for hours more without getting bored or tired. Afterward I was able to meet everyone except Chris and get the setlist autographed. Chris had made a comment how he had been to Bogarts several times. I'm hoping he'll come to Columbus. He's welcome to come back to Ohio anytime! by Truspart "Went and saw Chris Cornell last night, and the show was a 10 out of 10. That rating would also describe his voice, which sounded like he was in a studio recording an old Soundgarden or Audioslave album. I have some bootlegs from years past, and his voice occassionally get a little raspy (singing your lungs out back-to-back nights can't help). I enjoyed the two-and-a-half hour performance from about seven or eight feet from the stage. I'm still reeling from the breakup of Soundgarden nearly a decade ago, yet felt as if I was watching them right in front of me. Cornell's band did as close of a job as they possibly could in emulating the sound of Tom Morello or Kim Thayil's guitar riffs, or Matt Cameron on the drums.
thanks to Truspart for the photo - see more at SpartanTailgate.com The show started off with a rousing rendition of "Spoonman." and then just continued to elevate from there. Nearly every great song from every Soundgarden and Audioslave album was played (too many to list). I was pleasantly surprised to hear "Hunger Strike" from the Temple Of The Dog album, though Eddie Vedder wasn't there to sing his part (the bassist stepped in to fill the role). Cornell described writing the song in just a few minutes as an extra track to add onto the end of the album. To his surprise it gained worldwide popularity and remains one of his greatest accomplishments."
