Thanks to sweetlady for the photo - see more here Carry On guitarist Gary Lucas had announced that he'd be guesting with Chris's band tonight, but for some reason that didn't happen. Chris sang Spoonman with his daughter Toni and according to one happy fan, got in touch with "his inner Sinatra".
Wide Awake (acoustic) - Silence The Voices - Hunger Strike - Show Me How to Live - Spoonman - No Such Thing - Out of Exile - Ty Cobb - Cochise- Billie Jean - Fell on Black Days - Blow Up The Outside World - Arms Around Your Love - Like A Stone - Sunshower - Outshined - Let me Drown - Original Fire - Rusty Cage - You Know My Name - She'll Never Be Your Man - Black Hole Sun - Slaves and Bulldozers
by moneymags Just awesome - the guy sings most of the old material better than he sang it then, and he's a much better performer than he ever was with any band. He's a real showman now: completely in touch with the crowd. He must've found his inner Sinatra. It's also great how the band is right behind him - clapping and waving their arms around like a bunch of little kids! Great cameraderie. So I guess I'm not really writing anything useful here, but I just wanted to give my little experience to the group: being an obsessive Soundgarden fan in my teens, and then losing interest during the Audioslave days, its so nice to be able to appreciate the mighty (and apparently ageless - what the fuck??) Cornell once again.
Thanks to sweetlady for the photo - see more here by iggy By far the best night. First off - Chris played my favorite song of all time "Blow Up The Outside World" - I wasn't expecting it! It was during his acoustic set that he does in the middle of the show. He also played "She'll Never Be Your Man" for the encore with the band, which I had been waiting to hear. I really like that song. Although I was hoping to hear "The Day I Tried to Live" - I was happy to get those two songs instead- as well as "Burden In My Hand" last night.
Thanks to sweetlady for the photo - see more here by JanBeck Have been a fan for many years and have to say that he still can rock it out. I was @ 3 shows (Starland and two Beacons) Last night's show was awesome. Had 2nd row! My friend and I couldn't believe how awesome he (and the band) sounded. For those who doubt his voice - they can't say anything if they saw any of the show I did.
Thanks to sweetlady for the photo - see more here by JoAnne I loved that he started the show with an acoustic version of "Wide Awake". It was a real surprise... "Blow up the Outside World" acoustic was awesome!! I thought the crowd was better last night. A lot more energy... I was hoping for "The Day I Tried to Live" also, but no complaints on this end. Chris's voice was right on-yet again. Some doubters behind me commented that they had never heard him sound so fantastic.
