A shame this particular venue wasn't sold out - because unusually, Chris played an acoustic cover of Van Morrison's Crazy Love as well as Audioslave's Dandelion, and a guitar tech got to contribute to the general onstage spontaneity.

Some friends and I saw Chris Cornell last night at Hard Rock Live. I bought tickets thinking he'd probably be playing stuff from his latest solo album, and maybe I could catch a Soundgarden song in there somewhere. Well, the man must know what the fans want to hear because he's playing almost all old stuff. Soundgarden, Audioslave, and even Temple of the Dog. Check out the set list from last night's show -- they played for over two and a half hours!

Going into the show, I was half afraid he'd be sleepwalking through it -- just grinding out some of the old hits to collect some cash. I couldn't have been more wrong. I can't believe he can still scream just like he used to all these years later. The band he's assembled was great as well. If you closed your eyes, you'd swear it was Soundgarden. This show was so great it makes up for me never having gotten to see Soundgarden back in the day.

I was at the show last night and I can only describe it as AMAZING! It was the best show I have ever been to! The pick throwing game was funny and my husband and I got one! You could tell they genuinely wanted to be there performing for us and they were having a blast! It was unlike anything I have ever seen in my life! I drove back to Jacksonville after the show and my husband and I couldn't shut up the whole way home about it!!! AMAZING!!!

He was extremely warm and playful and the entire band was pouring out energy and enthusiasm that consumed the room. I saw them in May in LA and in Ft.Laud on sat and they keep getting better and better. I have seen so many bands over the course of a tour start to unravel and get sloppy. These guys keep getting more powerful and mature. Yogi was on fire in Orlando and Chris was indescribable both nights. From a long time fan who enjoyed many sloppy performances in the early 90's and has watched Chris sober up and now perform like he is doing now, it is sooooooo! satisfying to watch it.

Fantastic show. His vox were unexpectedly stellar and he seems to have control over his pitch and range again. Chris was actually quite talkative as well, making some funny statements throughout the night. And the pick fight between roadies and the entire band was kinda fun as well. I think it lasted from about mid-set (after Chris's acoustic segment) to the very end. Good time, good times.

I just got home from the concert and I don't even think words can describe what I just witnessed. That concert was above and beyond what I ever could have imagined. Chris sang every song with the power of their original releases. I didn't even think his voice could do the things he did tonight anymore. The new band is also equally amazing. I could swear I was listening to Soundgarden if I closed my eyes. When they played the few Audioslave songs that they did, they almost sounded better than the originals themselves.

Even the opening act (Earl Greyhound) gave an extremely impressive performance. They're the only opening act that I've ever seen that made me leave my spot on the floor to go pick up their album from the gift shop. After I saw Chris' new band playing together (and their strange fascination of throwing picks at each other) I really hope they stay with him for the long run. They all played brilliantly together, and just seemed to have a really good time. Even the roadies enjoyed themselves, playing the oddly attractive pick throwing game with the band, and one roadie who even came out and played guitar for Yogi during the amazing ending medley.

The only sad thing was that the venue didn't even sell out. Only about 1000 tickets were sold, and the floor had so much room that you could actually sit down and still enjoy the concert without anyone in your line of sight.
