If you haven't already checked, the meet-and-greet competition winner list is up at the official site and on Chris's MySpace. 22 June 2007 US magazine Performing Songwriter has a two-page interview with Chris about the new album and the breakup of Audioslave. There's even a brief taster of the interview at the website, but you'll need to buy the magazine to read the whole thing! A photo of Chris with members of Aerosmith at their recent Paris show has uirfaced at the band's official fan club site - see it here (thanks Mel). Chris is set to share the bill with Aerosmith at festivals in Belgium, England and Ireland over the next few days. A new meet and greet contest is starting for the next leg of the tour. Three fans in each city plus their guests will get tickets for the show plus the chance to attend a meet-and-greet. Previous contest winners are not eligible. Go here for full details and a chance to enter - winners will be randomly selected. 21 June 2007 According to a MySpace bulletin from guitarist Yogi, the band have been learning some new songs for the forthcoming European dates - "a couple of new Euphoria Morning cuts and Soundgarden songs. Also another Temple of the Dog song." (thanks Yogi) The tour resumes in Dessel, Belgium, tomorrow night. UK fans can go here to win tickets for Chris's forthcoming show at Glasgow's Carling Academy on 27 June. 19 June 2007 Chris has spoken out about environmental issues in Rolling Stone - see here (thanks Di). 15 June 2007 Canadian radio station CFOX (99.3) is holding a contest to win tickets to a secret Chris Cornell show in Vancouver on July 9. Go here to enter - you must be at least 19 (thanks Rohit). 13 June 2007 As well as his MySpace, Chris now has profiles on the following open access sites: and also on these members-only sites: For those who missed Chris's recent radio appearance with Howard Stern, the interview will be rebroadcast on 17 June at 4AM - 10AM ET and 4PM ET - 10PM ET on Sirius radio (channel 100). Chris's official site now features the lyrics to the songs on Carry On (not the two UK bonus tracks, though!) on the discography page. Chris and the band recently gave an exclusive performance and an interview to AT&T. He played No Such Thing, Seasons, Like A Stone, Hunger Strike and Black Hole Sun. See it all here in the AT&T blue room. 12 June 2007 Actress Juliette Lewis and her band the Licks have been announced as the opener for the forthcoming leg of Chris's US tour starting July 10. However she's playing Lollapalooza on August 5, so according to the Orange County Register, Puddle of Mudd are opening his show at the Pacific Amphitheatre in California's Costa Mesa on August 5. 11 June 2007 There are some lovely new pictures of Chris and his wife Vicky arriving at Spike TV's Guy's Choice on June 9 at Wire Image and some more of Chris presenting an award with actress Mandy Moore at the same show at Getty (thanks Mel, Amaryllis and Tina). 8 June 2007 On 14 June at 10pm ET, American satellite radio station Sirius is giving US audiences a chance to hear Chris talking to Irish BBC DJ Colin Murray, first broadcast on BBC Radio 1 on May 31 (thanks Scarlet). For those who haven't heard it, it's a great interview and hopefully you'll also get to hear the music Chris and the band recorded live at the BBC's famous Maida Vale studios. 7 June 2007 According to the "rumour mill" at music gossip site Hits Daily Double, Chris Cornell is one of those appearing on Spike TV’s Guy's Choice. The show premieres Wednesday 13 June at 10 pm. (thanks a light) Chris's recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (he played She'll Never Be Your Man) can be seen in Europe on CNBC (Sky channel 505) on Monday 11 June at 11pm. 5 June 2007 Chris will be the guest DJ on Sirius Radio tomorrow at 3:00 pm ET, rebroadcast Thursday June 7 at @ 9.00 pm ET & Friday June 8 at 9am ET. Check here to see if you were one of the lucky ones - and read the stories of the prizewinners. 4 June 2007 It's a new month - so here a few reminders of important upcoming dates, some of which were already mentioned in May's news: Tonight, Chris appears as featured guest on Rockline with host Bob Coburn. The show airs at 8:30pm PT/ 11:30pm ET and fans are encouraged to call in at 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). Carry On is finally released in the US tomorrow, 5 June - and of course it's already out in the UK, Australia and Europe.
